Rules on Flexible Working Requests to change

Employment Law - Flexible WorkingFrom 30th June 2014, new rules will apply to Flexible Working Requests from workers.

The new rules will mean that any employee with at least 26 weeks’ of service can apply for flexible working arrangements. Previously, such arrangements were only available to staff with children under 18. The rules also give employers longer to consider applications before giving their response, and the processes are generally considered to be less prescriptive than the ones currently in force.
You can find out more about the new rules, and what you need to consider in this article from our partner organisation Lighthouse Risk Services.
