PROFESSIONAL RISKS MEETS PARALEGAL REGISTER STANDARDS

JM Glendinning (Insurance Brokers) Professional Risks Ltd has received the Professional Paralegal Register’s (PPR) seal of approval as a Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) provider, giving its members approved access to JM Glendinning’s services.

The PPR is a voluntary registered scheme for Paralegals who work outside of regulated Solicitor’s firms. It currently has 2,000 registered paralegal members who meet the PPR’s criteria in terms of qualifications, code of conduct and experience. Meeting its standards for the provision of PII will connect JM Glendinning with members, giving reassurance that its services have been validated and meet the PPR’s exacting standards.

JM Glendinning provides specialist broking and claims support with an emphasis on providing a high level of service to the legal professions across the UK.

Kate Cooper, Chartered Insurance Broker at JM Glendinning says: “PII is a significant, yet essential, expense for legal practitioners and so it’s important that firms receive the best advice when it comes to PII and have the right cover in place. We’re delighted that PPR has recognised us in this way and look forward to helping many more paralegal firms find the best PII available to them.”

Rita Leat, Managing Director at PPR says: “We are delighted to be able to bring our members PI insurance that will cover the specific work that our paralegals undertake. The PPR is the overarching voluntary regulator for paralegals and provides practicing certificates for those who meet the competency standards and have the requisite experience to be able to offer legal services to consumers.”
