Professional indemnity specialist joins JM Glendinning

JM Glendinning group’s Professional Risks business has recruited a senior professional indemnity insurance specialist to support its ambitious growth plans.

Gareth Milner joins JM Glendinning Professional Risks as client director, bringing 13 years’ insurance industry experience to the team. Working with the firm’s existing law firm clients and responsible for bringing on board new contacts, Gareth will be instrumental in helping realise the growth ambitions of the business. The new appointment takes the number of staff in the Professional Risks business to six.

Having gained experience at JLT, AON and latterly Leeds-based PIB Insurance Brokers, Gareth specialises in advising on professional indemnity insurance, management liability and ancillary insurance services for law firms of all sizes. His new role will see him help legal practices manage risk whilst bringing them the widest and most competitive insurance options.

The independently owned JM Glendinning group, which is a top 75 insurance broker, has set out plans to rank amongst the Top 50 insurance brokers in the UK in the next five years. Its Professional Risks business has grown from a standing start to an £8million premium income business in under five years, with further significant growth forecast for the coming five years.
