JM GLENDINNING LAUNCHES REAL ESTATE INSURANCE BUSINESS IN BIRMINGHAM

JM Glendinning has appointed an established real estate insurance specialist to lead its new real estate company, which launched this week.

Chris Hitch, who has been working in the real estate insurance industry since 2002, will lead the new JM Glendinning Real Estate office, based in Birmingham. The business will provide a boutique insurance broking service for developers, investors and contractors of all sizes and specialisms.

Chris joins JM Glendinning as director from Lockton Real Estate & Construction where he led their Birmingham real estate business since 2012. Prior to that, Chris worked for Alexander Forbes and JLT. Chris specialises in real estate insurance and in niche areas such as rights to light, defective title, restrictive covenant, project specific insurance and investor portfolios.

Says Chris, “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to introduce and establish the JM Glendinning name in the sector as the go-to firm for real estate insurance services. I pride myself on giving clients the best advice and work closely with financial and legal teams to ensure that projects move ahead as smoothly as possible.
