AS Green & Co is now JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers, North Yorkshire

With effect from 1^st June 2016, AS Green & Co Insurance Brokers will be known as JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers, North Yorkshire.

AS Green & Co was established in Scarborough in 1977 and has provided a professional, local insurance service to businesses and individuals in the region. Over the years they have grown as a business and now have a team of 11 people.

In July 2015, they joined JM Glendinning Group, which gives them greater bargaining power with major insurers, as part of one of the UK’s Top 75 brokers, of over 3,000 nationally. They have now taken the decision to rebrand as JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers North Yorkshire.

Tony Green, Chairman (and founder of AS Green & Co) comments:

We joined JM Glendinning Group last July, because they shared our vision and commitment to providing face to face service locally to business and individuals. Many larger brokers are closing their offices in smaller towns, but we remain committed to Scarborough for the foreseeable future and will be keeping our existing team in place.

Our Managing Director Alison Piercy will now take the business forward and help us tap in to the opportunities we now have as part of a larger group, so I’m very confident that we have the right succession plan in place.

People in Scarborough have grown very used to the name AS Green over the years. Although this is a change for them, the message from us is very much that it’s business as usual for our clients in North Yorkshire. Although the name may be changing, they can still expect the same great service from the same settled team of people. All that will change is that they will now benefit from dealing with a larger broker with even stronger relationships with established insurers.
